As a conductor, he has worked with the Little Opera Theatre of New York, Amore Opera, and Premiere Division Ballet — for the latter, conducting two of his own full-length ballets. In 2017, Jake became the youngest ever winner of the Walter Hinrichsen Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He currently serves on the faculty of the Juilliard School's Evening Division and as the Assistant Director of the New York Youth Symphony's Composition Program.
